PB: Adorea from Franken Fran
Age: 50
History: Faceless Old Woman was not always old, nor was she faceless. And like many but not all women she started her life in the Capitol as a girl. Born into a wealthy family her father was a talented doctor and her mother had a flair for selling fashionable clothes. She had no siblings and as such spent most of her time being raised by various hired help while her parents lived in pursuit of the things they truly loved...their jobs.

As she matured and the time came to take an interest in the way the world worked she began following people around her mother's shop, watching and waiting. Studying how they behaved and what made them behave that way. Attempting to organize types of people into categories in her head and even at times following them home and skulking around their residence. As this was considered creepy and unbefitting a girl of her age her father attempted to direct her down a different path by bringing her to work with him and showing her just how well a doctor could get to know his patients.

She knew at once this was her future. Seeing a body prone on a table, helpless, unaware of anything as her father worked to improve their life. What better way could she learn about someone then by literally shaping their lives from the inside out? With a new fire and fascination burning inside her she launched herself into the study of medicine with gusto. During her classes she began to daydream about the ways she could change a persons life through the use of a blade and other less sultry medical tools. And it was this desire that led her to discover plastic surgery and body modifications.

Throughout her thirties she became a fast rising star of the medical community particularly for her willingness and skill at providing custom order body modifications. The more success she had the more big name clients came to see her till she began to develop a name for herself and decided that she too needed to represent her art. And so she began drugging herself and performing procedures on her body with little to any assistance. Once she began however she found she could not stop and modified her face and body weekly, sometimes daily! The strain it put on her body became so painful that she developed a tolerance for standard pain killers and began abusing harder prescriptions that she could easily procure.

Deciding the easiest way to continue her brand without constantly changing her face would be to have no face at all, she began wearing bandages around her body only exposing her latest face when she had something truly beautiful to show. The mystique of it earned her the Title of "The Faceless Woman." which she happily milked for years until she was a faceless old woman to the general public.

With the trend of body modifications and extreme surgery coming to a lull, The Faceless Old Woman has taken a job working at Tribute Towers as on site plastic surgeon and one of a handful of doctors working at the facility.

Presentation:  The first word that she likes to come to mind when people think of her is "Mysterious." She makes an effort to come off as strange and unique, utterly and completely an enigma to the Capitol Citizens. It's not terribly difficult given her wandering mind, her creepy mannerisms and sometimes strange habits and hobbies. She particularly enjoys sneaking up on people and speaking to them from behind or from a dark corner of the room. She is not shy though she may sometimes behave in that way.

She is most often mellow and relaxed either through her excessive use of pain killers or her detachment from humanity. Indeed after so many radical transformations to her body she sometimes refers to herself as something else entirely. Some etherial other that cannot be quantified by simple terms like "Human" or "Alive". Much of it is to enhance her persona while the rest of it keeps her relaxed in times of pressure.

Finally she is very particular. She is not afraid to send something back five times till it's exactly how she wants it, nor is she afraid to change her mind about what it is she wants. At the drop of a hat she's been known to take liberties with her patients requests and sometimes they love it! Sometimes they pretend to love it because of how much money they spent to have it done. She likes to organize and clean and reorganize not only her own work area and home, but the work areas and homes of others. Sometimes she has even been known to reorganize peoples organs so that they are still functional but more aesthetically pleasing.

Motivations: Inside, the Faceless Old Woman believes herself to be above even the Capitol Citizens. In her mind she answers only to the laws laid down by the government because to disobey would deprive them of her art. Such is her ego that she thirsts to be more then humanity. Greater then any natural being born. She just hasn't found the right inspiration yet.

Despite her detachment she can be kind so long as she takes a liking to you. The more open and giving you are of yourself the more she will take and the more likely she is to offer something in return. However to shun her "gifts" is insulting so it's a treacherous path. While she has a soft spot for off worlders it is largely based around a curiosity about how they are put together and how she can improve them. Unfortunately not many of them have show an interest in her abilities...yet. But now that she has a job where she can interact with them more frequently she intends on finding out more about them one way or another.

She strives for beauty and organization in her life and when she can't have those things she lashes out in destruction finding that it too can be beautiful. She considers things like a crackling fire fueled by cherished possessions almost poetic, as well as the way individual bits of skin can cling stronger then others when being removed for whatever reason. This sort of morbid fascination with things that she finds aesthetically pleasing makes her a challenging co-worker at times which is why only the most dedicated remain as her assistants.

Like all capitolites she relishes the life she rarely if ever considers the plight of those from outside the Capitol or those from off world. After all life is a wonderful, beautiful, chaotic thing. Why should anyone waste time doing anything that isn't creative or beautiful?

Plans: I believe that depending on her interactions with the other characters the Faceless Old Woman could go one of two particular ways. She could either gain more of a sense of empathy for others and attempt to aid people in ways that are not entirely about her sense of power and pleasure, or she could become even more obsessive, removed and careless until she ends up turning her trade to dangerous, possibly sadistic tortures in service for her beloved Capitol. Either way her loyalty stands firmly with the government that has allowed her to chase her dreams as idle or sporadic as they may be.

OOC Information
NAME; Al
AGE; 25
OTHER CHARACTERS PLAYED; Changeling

IC Information
CHARACTER NAME; Adorea
AGE; 30
CANON; Franken Fran
CANON POINT; After Volume 7 Chapter 57
FAMILY TYPES; Dark area, Unknown, Nightmare soldiers jungle troopers, deep savers and Virus busters

APPEARANCE; Adorea is tall for a girl at 6'1, with a slender figure and long legs and arms. Narrow shoulders and long flowing black hair. She usually wears it up but if she were to wear it down it goes past her behind. While she looks human she hides a secret behind a mask of bandages. Her face is a mass of writhing tentacles, of various sizes and lengths. The largest ones are on the outer ring of her face and the further in towards the middle and her mouth they become smaller. When wearing her bandages they curl and flatten out as to avoid giving her a big headed appearance. Due to her hidden appearance it's difficult to judge her age but she died as a young woman, and upon her revival her body did not age.

PERSONALITY;
Soft spoken and gentle, Adorea lives to serve. She loves to know she has helped someone out and cares little for her own personal gain in the matter. She gives willingly of what she has and if possible will be the first to volunteer where needed. To those she is loyal to she is willing to give even more and overlook some of the moral implications of whatever may be asked of her.

That is not to say she has no morals. She has a sense of right and wrong but is willing to consider the gray area of those choices as well. She has no problem with killing another living being so long as there is a good enough reason. But she would not willingly kill an innocent person of her own volition. But if she is loyal to the person in command, or given a good enough reason she would consider it. It has been said she cannot say no when asked to do something, however it could simply be that her limit has never been reached. Sometimes this can lead her to be confused however. In one such situation when students around her school demanded her blood type, she was unable to comply because her blood type changed depending on her situation. When they insisted she sought out others and devoured them to absorb their blood type. Soon she could not stop from devouring more and more students hoping to gain their personalities and traits. Thankfully Doctor Fran slowed her down and reasoned with her.

She is far from a delicate flower when it comes to mature subjects. As a aid to Doctor Fran she has been exposed to all manner of horror and gore. But what really frightens her is not knowing who she is. Her calm, mellow manners hides a woman searching for her lost identity. Her memories of life are fuzzy at best and because of that she can't remember well who she was. So instead she seeks out who she has become.

She is also afraid of bugs. The kind of afraid that leads to one over-reacting, crying for help and trying to stay far enough back they can't touch her but not so far that she loses track of them.

HISTORY;
Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl who's name started with A. While her true name is not revealed in the series this girl would become Adorea.

She was a girl in love, as so many are. And like many young women with hearts full of love that love was offered to the wrong man. He was a clever man but a man with a terminal illness. Adorea had an Illness like his and it was discovered that the organs that were failing in him, were healthy in Adorea and vice versa.

They made a pact with one another, whichever one would die the other would receive their organs so that at least one of them would live, and they would forever be together. Not long after that promise the man died, and Adorea was given his organs.

A mysterious and infamous doctor however happened upon the hospital and heard of the mans plight. With his amazing skill he brought the man back from the dead. The man was beside himself with jealousy and anger and went back on his word. While she was still unconscious he demanded his organs back and the doctors...for whatever reason, complied.

It was then that Adorea died, and the man took her healthy organs along with those he had given to her.

The mysterious doctor was not pleased with the situation as it was, and using his skill gave Adorea a new body. A new life. And a chance to take back her organs with interest.

Using her new body she devoured her former lover, and they truly were together at last.

After that the Doctor took her home with him and taught her to act as a medical assistant. A trained nurse though with no license she was passed on to his protege Fran, whom Adorea served loyally.

One such example of her time spent with Fran was during a bus ride in a tunnel that traveled under a mountain. Some misinformed would-be-terrorists destroyed the entrances to the tunnel and trapped the bus inside, as well as themselves.

There were injuries in the explosion and subsequent cave in. Using the extra organs Adorea held inside her body Fran was able to save the lives of the wounded. And as starvation began to set in, Adorea even gave up her own muscles so they might eat and survive.

This deal was not however without a catch. Doctor Fran had made herself a promise. She would save these terrorists even through it was their fault the situation was as dire as it was. If help arrived and they all survived, then Fran would have a clear heart and consider the materials a loss.

However if they died, Adorea would take back the organs, as well as devour the bodies of all who died, harvesting their tissue, bones and organs as interest.

The only survivors were Fran and her support staff. The terrorists all died despite Fran's best efforts and Adorea collected their bodies just as happily as she had given of her own.

Adorea has also been sent on missions away from home, accompanying Doctor Fran's sister Veronica to an All girl's school. Adorea's purpose there was to keep tabs on Veronica and "Clean up" any messes that might come to pass. Together they uncovered a slavery and murder ring being operated by the only girl in their class that was kind to Veronica. Adorea aided Veronica in spoiling the plans of that student, and was surprisingly popular in the school due to them thinking she had some kind of disfiguring injury.

When not aiding the Doctor Adorea attends school with Fran to better learn who she is inside.

SAMPLES

FIRST PERSON;
2.) What would you say is your greatest strength?

I've never thought of myself as strong.

At least...I don't think I ever did. I don't feel particularly strong unless I have recently taken in an excess of muscles and bone. Fran once said my greatest strength is the amount my skin can stretch, and how well I adapt. I think she may have been speaking of how my body adjusts itself to different situations based on what I am needed for. I enjoy being useful, however that may be. Veronica has told me she wishes she was as adaptable as I am among people...though I am not sure if she meant it the same way.

3.) If you were given the option to stay in the Digital World or return to your home, which would you choose? Why?

I wouldn't want to impose.

However, we were brought here to help. It's difficult to decide, I had an important duty back home...though I suppose the doctor can get by without me. She is very smart and skilled. And she has many other assistants. though none with my...talents.

So long as the Digital world needs my assistance, I will stay if I can.

Though...I do miss them dearly. Doctor Fran, Veronica and the others. Even my classmates...though not all of them.

I suppose...it all depends. I'm sorry that probably wasn't the answer you wanted. I'll try to do better next time.

5.) You have one choice. That choice will result in either the end of the world or it will save it. Which way would you go?

Why? Is there something wrong with the world?
Are you the one asking me? Would you prefer it?
This world? Or my home world?
I don't know that I could destroy my home without asking Fran first. She always has so much work after all. And without the world she would never be able to complete it.
And there are many people who would probably be upset if it happened.
I would need to know why...and who would want it to be destroyed.
I'm sorry, I'm not very good at these. This is the most anyone has asked my opinion in some time. Should I try again?

THIRD PERSON;

It was a warm, mostly cloudless day. The kind Adorea liked though there wasn't many kinds of weather she ever complained about. Each season had it's beauty to it.

But on this warm spring day she could walk around in a simple sun dress instead of bundling up. People still gave her strange looks for the bandages wrapped around her face and hands, but no one asked. No one even stopped her.

She didn't mind that either. It was peaceful. Just the sound of her feet in the grass as she veered into the park. It was a little lonely sometimes, but she had grown so used to it she could hardly be bothered on a day like today. Thoughts of loneliness only ever crept in when she was already feeling down.

A whimpering sound caught her ear, bringing back a thousand memories of former patients and Adora stopped turning slowly till her eyes settled on the culprit.

A little girl stood at the base of a tree whimpering, tears in her eyes. It was one of the most heartbreaking things. Her balloon was stuck in the branches of the tree. Adorea felt her heart break for the little one and gently padded towards her. Slow, quiet, no need to startle her.

"Excuse me..." She spoke in her soft gentle voice. The little girl turned and gave a start. Even with her bandages on Adorea knew she sometimes startled people. They just didn't expect to see...anything like her. There was a rush of embarrassment and she fumbled out the words. "May I help you?"

The little girl looked confused, then whimpered again and nodded. "It's stuck." She pointed upwards and Adorea nodded, kneeling down to the child's level placing a hand on her shoulder. The bandages wrapped around Adorea's hand seemed to distress the girl more and she stumbled away. Once more leaving Adorea flustered and glad she couldn't actually blush above the neck. Still to any unfortunate onlookers including the girl, they would see the bandages on Adorea's face squirming as her tentacles wriggled in embarrassment.

Rising to her feet the soft spoken woman took to the base of the tree. The lowest branch was above her head, and a few feet above that was the string of the balloon. She wished dearly for her partner but they had remained at the hospital to get some paperwork done during their lunch break.

Her long arms drew up above her head and she curled delicate fingers around the branch. So far so good. She reasoned silently, trying to ignore the whimpers of the nervous little girl. She could not and had to tighten her tentacles to prevent herself from whimpering out of sympathy.

Muscles strained and flexed in those milk pale arms as Adorea tried....and tried...and tried to lift herself up. But despite being so light without extra organs weighing her down she couldn't get more then a foot off the ground.

"Are you stuck too?" Sniffled the little girl and Adorea's tentacles wriggled again. The heat pouring off her "face" was enough she was sure her bandages would catch on fire.

"No but...um...I can't do it unless you close your eyes. OK?" Adorea felt a pit in her stomach open up at the thought of what she would have to do, but if the child was obedient she would have her balloon back much faster.

The little one looked unsure, shuffling her little sneakers in the dirt and Adorea let go of the branch.

"It's um...like a magic trick." She tried to explain. "If you cover your eyes..." Adorea covered her bandage covered face with her equally wrapped up hands "...and count to twenty, I'll have your balloon back. I promise."

The little one still looked suspicious, but the promise of magic and her balloon was enough to get her to cover her eyes and start counting...poorly.

"One, two, three, four...um...seven..."

Adorea made her own whimper thinking that if the little girl finished counting too soon the trick would be ruined and fumbled with her bandages freeing the long slippery limbs that were where a normal person's face would be.

The fresh air felt so good on her tentacles, but she couldn't waste time enjoying it. Grabbing the branch once more with her hands, and four of her large tentacles she grunted, and trembled and lifted herself up higher, one foot, two feet into the air. Then a third.

"eleven, eight, fourteen..."

The tendril at the top of her face stretched as far as it could, the tip curling and uncurling as it lashed at the string to the balloon. Another half foot would do it!

"Eighteen...nineteen..."

Now she gets them in order?!? Adorea silently panicked and the burst of fear gave her the strength she needed to pull up higher and nab the balloon.

CRACK!

Adorea barely had time to squeak before the branch snapped off the tree and brought her crashing to the ground in a heap. When the girl opened her eyes she saw the balloon first and nabbed the string. "MY BALLOON!" She cheered...and then her face grew pale as she saw the slimy slithery tentacle that was hanging onto the end of the string.

Her scream echoed throughout the park and she took off running like a rabbit, the balloon rose forgotten, only to get tangled in the tree once more.

And Adorea sighed quietly to herself, slowly untangling her sore tentacles from the branch and retracting them back towards her face. She rose stiffly and dusted off her dress before glancing back up for the balloon.

By the time anyone came back with the little girl to the spot, all they would find was the balloon tied to the broken branch. While Adorea herself had slipped away, bandages on once more. Her happy mood had been soured somewhat leaving her quiet and contemplative. How could she have handled that better?

She would think about it over a smoothie with extra protein. The protein was for her weak arms. The smoothie was to get the taste of bark and dirt out of her tentacles.

Mr. Lucas is awake and capable of receiving visitors.

He has requested a change of clothes and his D-comm.

Thank you.

How many hospitals do we work at now?

All of them?

[OOC: Log post, because somehow I don't think Kats is in the mood for a full log, just tag him in this post]

If there is anyone who is associated with Ms. Roxanne Rocket...she seems to um...have...escaped.

[Attached: security video of a heavily bandaged and logically heavily medicated Roxy Rocket blasting out of her third story window in a wheelchair powered by fire extinguishers to snag a hand on a cable and swing out into the street where she lands on the back of a passing truck which carries her off camera]

If anyone can get into contact with her we need to continue her treatment.

I'm growing very concerned with Adorea...she hasn't been all together since we rescued her.

She hasn't been eating much, she's more spaced out then usual...normally I can at least count on her to help out around the clinic but lately she can't seem to keep her head from the clouds. She's gazing out windows alot and going for long walks...I try to make sure she's with someone when she does but it's getting so I can't keep track of her and do my job.

She's listening to alot of sad music as well...love songs and such...

...oh dear...
organloaner: (Lalamon: Begin the operation)
There we go, good as new.

Thanks doc.

I swear Mr. Mendetta you might as well have your own room here for how often I have to help you.

Heh heh, yeah the old doc used to say that too.

...

You keep looking out the window doc, you waiting for something?

Oh! Oh you noticed...yes I suppose you could say that.

I noticed your scantily clad nursemummy isn't here either.

Keep those stitches clean Mr. Mendetta, if you dare let that get infected I'm going to give you a high colonic next time your here.

Yeesh alright alright I'm going.

[Door closes]

*Sigh* Where are you Adorea?

This morning on my way to work a man with a large manly pompadour offered me his heart.

I thought it was only polite to do the same and I had a few spare...so I pulled one of them out and offered it to him.

He fainted.

Happy Valentines Day.

Attention, this is Nurse Adorea of Tetha making a call for all injured Tamers and Digimon who were just returned from the kidnappings. If you cannot move under your own power to a medical facility please respond and we will be out shortly to help.

I am also seeking any volunteers to help with moving those who are in critical condition.

Thank you.
organloaner: (Lalamon: Begin the operation)
I would like to report on the incident that happened on the 26th in Tetha.

On that night a patient was brought to the Clinic by the Heroine calling herself Batgirl. Through translation we were told that the patient was attacked by a Wendimon with a demon seal and proclaiming loyalty to "Lord Daemon" I'm not sure if the Batgirl made a report of her own but I felt it needed to be mentioned to the public as a warning.

Also if anyone could help...is there anyone in charge of the girl "Cassandra Marko?" I can't seem to find any records of a guardian in the digital world that are current. The only previous name listed departed some time ago.

Thank you very much.
organloaner: (I'm shocked or yelling I can't tell)

...that was...impressive.

Thank you.

I didn't know you spoke Italian.

I don't.
organloaner: (omnomnomnom)
Good morning Lalamon.

*Yawn* Oh good morning Adorea...I guess I fell asleep studying again.

You do work very hard, please don't push yourself too much.

I promise I won't...I just want to learn as much as I can to help. Thank you for the coffee.

My pleasure.

...Adorea....this may be....rather personal and I'll understand if it is...but may I see under your wraps? You said it wasn't a dis figuration or an injury so I was just curious...

Certainly. [The sound of wraps being undone and Lalamon giving a little squeek of shock]

W-well...those are...lovely.

Thank you.
organloaner: (Just resting)
Hello, my name is Adorea.

I am at a lightpost I'm told...and require data for the city of Tetha.

I am new here and while I am no fighter...I would like to do my best to help in any way I can.

Very good, and I'm Lalamon, I would like to seek out possible employment at the clinic in Tetha if it is still open? I attempted to call the Doctor but there was no response. I am experienced however.

As am I.

What?

Experienced, as a nurse and medical assistant.

Oh lovely! I can see why we were partnered together now.
